Participants are expected to work hard and question the how and why of the world around them, in order to learn as much as possible during their time at the Ranch.

Overview

Trail Crew Trek (TCT) is a 14-day co-ed program focused on conservation project facilitation and personal leadership development. Participants will work with Philmont staff to complete trail and camp projects, while taking part in the classic backcountry experiences for which Philmont is well-known. Throughout the duration of the program, participants will gain experience and learn the soft skills needed to plan and facilitate a project outside of Philmont. The Trail Crew program teaches these skills, not only through the physical work, but also through lessons and events with Conservation professionals from Philmont and the surrounding area. This program provides a strong foundation for any Scout interested in conducting conservation projects at the local level.
